I extremely disappointed in the service and the food quality at Foster's Inn. At the end of the night, everyone in my party had to keep urging each other to try and forget the whole experience--NOT the way to end a day! We ordered a bottle of wine based on the waiter's price and description of it. When it came, it didn't fit the way the waiter had described it and--as he said--cost $10 more than he had said. He said he's make up for the difference, in a way that let us know just how lucky we were by his generosity! When the food came, we found out the waiter had gotten TWO out of the three orders wrong. I sent mine back, since it came well done and I had asked for medium-rare. Someone came by to fill the waters and knocked our bottle of wine on the table! She barely apologized and barely cleaned it up--some wine dripped onto my father's shirt. My meal finally came when my companions had finished theirs and the snideness of the wait staff had mounted. The quality of the steak was at best so-so the kind that could be found at a chain restaurant, like Applebees, hardly worth the amount they were selling it for. We come to Stratford every year, but will NEVER go to Foster's again. ..More Reviews
